Purnima Mahato has won many laurels in archery and is presently the coach of Indian Archery Team. Deepika Kumari is another name to reckon with. She is the  number 1 player in Women Re curve archery. Dola Banerjee and Bombayala Devi have been ace archers too. Reena Kumari represented India in 2004 Summer Olympics. Mangal Singh Champia won bronze medal in the team competition in Asian Games in 2006. Hockey: 


Subhadra Pradhan is member of Women's National Field Hockey team and hails from Jharkhand state. Michael Kindo was in the team which won World Cup for India in 1975.
