How to Reach Ranchi ? You can reach Ranchi by Air, Road or Rail. On reaching there one can hire taxis, buses, cycle rickshaws and auto rickshaws to travel around in the city. Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation (JTDC) along with a private company Wheel Travels is running a bus service for sightseeing in Ranchi. The busses can be taken in the morning for return in the same evening. The bus tour covers almost all the famous tourists’ spots of Ranchi including most of the waterfalls like Hundru, Johna, Sita, Hirni, Panchgagh, Ghaghari, Daksham, etc. as well as temples like Deori, Rajrappa, Sai Dham & Sun Temple. One can also opt to visit the Zoological & Crocodile Park in Ranchi. The bus fare is very economical ranging from Rs. 110 to Rs. 300.
Bus RouteOne can board the bus near All India Radio Station, Ratu Road at an interval of every one hour from 9am to 4pm. The bus will take you to major tourist spots such as Kanke and Hatia Dams, Rock Garden, Sidho Kanho Park, Nakshatra Van, Zakir Hussain Park, Pahari Mandir, Jharkhand War Memorial, Machli Ghar, temples like Rani Sati, Durga, Jagannath and Sai, Tagore Hill, then to Science City, and the cricket stadium on HEC campus. The trip also includes a visit to Indian Cricket Team Captain-M.S. Dhoni’s house -Shaurya at Harmu.
